Travel Writing Certification

For over 10 years, Intrepid Times has supported emerging travel writers to break into this highly competitive yet wonderfully rewarding world. Our “The Craft of Travel Writing Certification” course invites writers to participate in live workshops, gain hands-on experience, get personal feedback, and earn certification from Intrepid Times.

Having read thousands, if not tens of thousands, of submissions over the years and built a reputation for publishing meaningful travel writing with heart, our editors have carefully distilled what makes a good travel story succeed. On the course, writers will deconstruct the elements of a successful travel story, learn how to make stories from the past relevant for today’s readers and editors, master the art of compelling description, and evolve into professional, polished travel writing experts.

Students will graduate with the Craft of Travel Writing Certificate, a symbol of your hard work and an achievement to celebrate on your journey to becoming a published travel writer.
