Travel Writing Retreat

Krakow, Poland, Around August (TBC), 2024

Share a profound travel experience, uncover the story that only you can tell, and become the travel writer you want to be.

This summer a handful of travel writers—some experienced, some aspiring—will gather in Krakow, Poland, for Intrepid Times’ first-ever Travel Writing Experience.

  • Immerse yourself in local culture, getting insight and access unavailable to tourists.
  • Meet and learn from some of today’s top travel writers, publishers and photographers.
  • You will write it all down in a compelling travel story destined for publication.

Part tour, part writing workshop, completely unforgettable.

It’s a tour… but instead of jostling crowds outside of tourist traps and families posing with selfie sticks, you’ll join locals who will show you the little-known secrets of one of Europe’s most mysterious and beguiling cities.

It’s a writing workshop… but instead of slugging through exercises that will remind you of being back in high school, you’ll be hanging out and learning from world-class travel writers who will help you get in touch with and articulate your own unique perspective on what you have experienced.

Tourists leave with selfies. You’ll have a published travel story that will serve as a testament to an experience you helped create.

After the tour, the mentorship continues

The Intrepid Times editorial team will help you polish and refine the drafts you wrote during the trip. Giving you the space you need to explore your own creative process, we’ll also be right there when you need us. Our goal is to support you to craft a compelling travel story of a professional standard to be published right here on Intrepid Times.
